Upgrading Artifacts

Artifacts can be upgraded through the "Upgrade Artifact" icon in the character inventory window. In order to upgrade an Artifact, you need to use other artifacts of the same type (Fighting Spirit, Protection, Support, or Balance). The number of artifacts required will vary at the upgrade stage.

Upgrading an Artifact from +0 to +1 has a 100% success rate. The upgrade process may fail after +1, but only the materials that were used for the upgrade will be consumed. The stage of the Artifact that you intended to upgrade will stay the same.

When upgrading to +1-4, the Artifacts used for the upgrade can be +0 or higher. For +5-7, the Artifacts used for the upgrade must be +1 or higher, and for +8, the Artifacts used for the upgrade must be +3 or higher.

To equip your Artifacts, you’ll need an Artifact Book, which is sold by Giran Luxury Shop NPC, Alexandria, in Giran. There are 3 levels to the Artifact Book and each level offers a number of slots to equip a Fighting Spirit Artifact, Protection Artifact, Support Artifact, and Balance Artifact based on its level.

Equipping an Artifact in all the Book slots will unlock a set effect.
