Lineage II Battle Tournament Rules
Registration begins on Friday, March 31 at 12:00 PM CST (7:00 PM GMT +1) and will remain open until all available slots are full and verified. Teams will then be contacted by NCsoft for confirmation, and a complete division schedule will be posted on the official Lineage II web site.
Entry fees will be removed from team leaders after teams have been accepted and announced. The entry fee for each team will be 13.5 million Adena.
Event Server
Competition characters will be copied to the event server prior to the competition, but will be restricted by location until the day of the tournament. Characters must be set to the appropriate main or subclass prior to the character copy process. All characters will have their server number added to the end of their names (for example, Kyleran-1).
Only competitors with copied characters will be able to enter the event server. Character creation on participants’ accounts will be unavailable to prevent server overload. We ask that non-competitors do not log on to the event server at any time.
Item and Skill Restrictions
When characters are copied to the event server, all weapons and armor will be standardized to a +4 enchantment. All warehouse and non-equippable items on each character will be completely removed. Hero weapons will also be removed.
Before each match, an allowance of Soulshots, Spiritshots, Blessed Spiritshots, spell components, and special tournament CP and HP Healing potions will be distributed to every team. Any items that are not distributed by the tournament referees are illegal and obtaining or using these items during the tournament is grounds for disqualification.
To facilitate Overlords, all teams will be given an opportunity to create a clan with their team name.
To facilitate Necromancers, a corpse will be provided prior to each round for creation of summons.
Noblesse skills will be removed and deactivated, as will any teleportation based skill such as Return and Party Recall. Resurrection skills will be allowed with limited stipulations based on the match type.
Servitors* are permitted during matches. However, pets will not be allowed, and all pet collars will be removed from participants’ inventories when copied to the event server.
Tournament Matches
Every match is broken down into three rounds.
- 9 vs. 9 Full Team – Both completing teams enter the Coliseum and fight an all out battle against each other. The team to eliminate all opposing players is the victor of this round.
- 3 vs. 3 Survivor – Each team is broken down into 3 teams of 3 and sent out into the arena three players at a time. When the 3 member team from one side is defeated, the next 3 member team is immediately sent in. The team to eliminate all 9 opposing players is the victor of this round.
- 1 vs. 1 5 Man Survivor – 5 members are selected from each team and sent out into the arena one at a time. When a member from one side is defeated, the next team member is immediately sent in. The team to eliminate all 5 opposing players is the victor of this round.
The team to win 2 of these 3 rounds will determine the winner and allow them to advance to the next tier of their division.
*Please note, servitors do not count as a participant and will not be counted when determining the last man standing.
