QUESTION

Why are Kamael excluded from the Gender Change Service?

ANSWER

Due to the unique gender-specific nature of the Kamael classes, it is not possible to change their gender. Kamael are the only race in Lineage® II whose gender dictates what classes they can be.

QUESTION

I heard there was a web page where I could see who has changed their name on my server. Where is that page? Why aren't Character Name Changes private?

ANSWER

When your character's name is changed, the old name and new name are logged on the public Character Name Changes page. The reason this data is public is to prevent abuse of the Character Name Change service, and also to provide friends and clan mates proof of who you were before the name change.

QUESTION

I changed my character's name/gender/server, and decided I don't like it! Can the account service be reversed?

ANSWER

No. All account services changes are final, so think carefully before you apply one of them to a character.

QUESTION

I have purchased a Lineage® II account service and my character’s name/gender has not changed. How long does it take for these changes to take place?

ANSWER

Your name change or gender change is applied during the next maintenance window (normally Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time). It may take up to ten business days before the changes appear in game.

QUESTION

Why don't I have the option to purchase an account service for  my Lineage® II account?

ANSWER

The Lineage® II Character Gender Change/Character Name Change purchase option is only available to persons who have a full retail Lineage® II game account. Trial accounts, beta accounts and pre-order accounts, or accounts blocked for any reason will not have the option to purchase a Lineage® II Character Gender Change or Character Name Change.

QUESTION

I purchased more than one account service, but when I apply one of them, I'm not able to apply the other(s) on the same character. What's going on?

ANSWER

There are multiple reasons why an account service may fail. Please check to make sure your character is elligible for the services you are trying to apply.

Name Changes and Gender Changes cannot be applied within the same week. A Server Transfer and Name or Gender Change can be used together. However, please make sure that you apply the transfer code first. This will be applied to the character being transferred. Once you've done that, go back and apply the name or gender code to the placeholder character. The placeholder character will be the level 1 character you created on the destination server. The services must be applied in this sequence in order to be successful.

QUESTION

I transferred servers and now I'm lagging horribly! Why?

ANSWER

If you transfer to a server that is not in your home region (ie. you live in Europe and transfer to a North American server, or vice versa), you may experience higher latency than if you were playing on a server that is located in your home region. Please be aware of this before you transfer servers.

QUESTION

Why has my Lineage® II account service failed?

ANSWER

This can happen due to either of the following reasons:

  • The character you were renaming or changing gender for was no longer available on the account.
  • The character you were renaming was no longer of the appropriate level or available on the account.
  • The character you were applying an account service to did not meet the necessary criteria. Please review the Rules and Requirements that pertain to the account service you purchased.

To resolve this issue, please follow the instructions below:

1. Log into your game account to make the necessary changes to allow the service to be re-initiated. This may involve re-creating the missing or above-level character.

2. Log into PlayNC Account Management (https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/accountManagement.pl) and access your Lineage II Game Account Details page to re-initiate the service. You will not be re-billed.

Your re-initiated service will be processed during the next weekly maintenance period.

QUESTION

Why would I want to use the Subclass Change account service?

ANSWER

The Hellbound update introduced a subclass level cap of 80 and a main class level cap of 85. Players who had a greater attachment to the subclass of a character than its main class and who focused their efforts on developing that subclass were disappointed. That's why we prepared the Subclass Change account service.

QUESTION

What happens to a character's race/face/gender when the main class and the subclass are changed?

ANSWER

When the main and subclass are changed, the character's appearance follows the appearance of the new main class. The gender remains the same, except for some Kamael changes. (All head styles are type A.)

For example, for a female Elf character whose main class is Elder and subclass is Hawkeye, if you request the Hawkeye to become your character's main class, the main class changes into Hawkeye, the subclass changes into Elder, and the character's appearance changes into a human female character.

This works a little differently for the Kamael since Kamael classes are gender specific. For Kamael, at the time of subclass and main class change, the gender also changes into that of the main class.

QUESTION

After changing my character's main class/subclass, can I revert my character back to its original state?

ANSWER

You can either cancel the request before it goes into effect, or you can revert the change by purchasing another Subclass Change. However, you cannot immediately revert the change once it is in effect. There is a three-month waiting period before you can purchase a new Subclass Change for the same character.

QUESTION

After changing my character's main class/subclass, what happens to the subclass certified skills and certificates that it acquired?

ANSWER

When you change your character's main class/subclass using the Subclass Change account service, all previously acquired subclass certified skills are reset, and previously acquired certificates are removed. In addition, subclass certificates that were acquired during the certificate exchange event are also removed. Your character must acquire the subclass certificates again after the main class/subclass change.

QUESTION

Can I change my character's second or third subclass into the main class?

ANSWER

You can use the Subclass Change to change any one of your character's subclasses to the main class provided the main class is between levels 75-80 and the subclass is above level 75 (be it the first, second, or third subclass). In this case, the main class becomes the requested second or third subclass, and the respective subclass becomes the main class.

QUESTION

Can I participate in the Subclass Change account service if my main class is a Warsmith, Maestro, Overlord, or Dominator?

ANSWER

Warsmith, Maestro, Overlord, and Dominator are, by design, classes that cannot be subclasses. If your character's main class is one of these classes, the request cannot be made.

QUESTION

Can the Kamael's hidden subclasses, Inspector and Judicator, be changed into a character's main class?

ANSWER

Inspector and Judicator are designed to be subclasses only, so they cannot be changed into a character's main class.

QUESTION

My main class is Human, my first subclass is Elven, and my second subclass is Dark Elven. In this case, is a request permitted?

ANSWER

Within the game, an Elf main class cannot have a Dark Elf subclass, and a Dark Elf main class cannot have an Elf subclass. If your character has two or more subclasses, and if the one you wish to change into the main class is an Elf or a Dark Elf, you cannot make either of them the main class because they would be in opposition. However, if in this example your character has Bounty Hunter as a third subclass, Bounty Hunter can become the main class. Alternatively, if one of the opposing race subclasses is deleted, you can choose the remaining subclass as your character's main class.

QUESTION

What happens to my character's Olympiad points?

ANSWER

Any character for which you use the Subclass Change account service has its Olympiad points reset. Please use up your character's Olympiad points before submitting the request.

QUESTION

I submitted my request properly, but the main class/subclass change hasn't occurred. Why?

ANSWER

If the request was submitted properly, but the change didn't take place, then the requirements were met at the time of the request but not at the time of processing. Review the below conditions, double-check your character, and submit your request again.

  • The main class and subclass must be between levels 75-80, and your character must not be in Hero or Hero waiting status.
  • The character must have no more than 80 items in the inventory. If your character holds more than 80 items, make sure that you reduce your character's number of items in inventory to no more than 80 items at the time of the Subclass Change request and at the time of the Subclass Change processing, which occurs during the weekly maintenance period.
  • Your account or character cannot have been banned.
  • If your account is banned while a requested Subclass Change is in process, the change will not take effect.

QUESTION

I am working on the "Repent Your Sins" quest. Can I continue the quest with a character after changing that character's main class/subclass?

ANSWER

The "Repent Your Sins" quest does not apply to both the main class and subclasses. If you use the Subclass Change account service, all the items related to the "Repent Your Sins" quest are removed from that character, and your character must start the quest over.

QUESTION

Why would I want to use the Subclass Separation account service?

ANSWER

As subclasses may only reach a max level of 80, this account service allows you to split off that subclass from that character, and apply it to a new character, where the subclass will become a main class. This will allow you to level that class to 85 on the new character.

QUESTION

When I separate a subclass from one character, and apply it to the placeholder character, what happens to the placeholder's name/race/face/gender?

ANSWER

The name will stay the same. The face, hair and hair color will be set to option A. The gender of the placeholder character will be the same as that of the original character. The race of the placeholder character will change to match the nature of the subclass being applied to it.

For example, you have a Human female Hawkeye with an Elven Elder subclass, and you create a placeholder character that is a male dwarf. Applying the Elven Elder subclass to this new character will turn it into a female Elf with Elven Elder as its main class. Placeholder characters may not be Kamael.

QUESTION

After separating a subclass from a character, can I revert it back to the original character later?

ANSWER

No, the subclass separation is irreversible.
