Event Process

Please note that this event can only proceed on a server if one or both of the Cursed Swords is not already claimed by a player. If, one day, both swords are already claimed by players, GMs will not intervene and the GM event will not take place that day.

  • If one or both of the Cursed Swords, Blood Sword Akamanah and Demonic Sword Zariche, is currently unclaimed by players, the sword will be claimed by a GM. The GM will then enter the game, heralded by a server-wide announcement. Their entrance will be heralded by a server-wide announcement.
  • Players must find the Cursed Sword in the game world. To do this, check the map and find the location of the icon for that Cursed Sword.
  • Upon finding the Cursed Sword, players must kill it. There are rewards for players that land a hit, and an additional reward for the player that lands the killing hit.
  • Once the Cursed Sword is defeated and the sword is not longer in the GM’s possession, another server-wide announcement will be made in order to signal players that the sword can be captured by a new person.

Announcements

When a Cursed Sword is in-game there is an automatic server-wide announcement. However if a GM is controlling the Cursed Sword, or has been defeated, there will be a special additional announcement so that players can know if this particular Cursed Sword battle counts towards the event or not.

GM enters the game with a Cursed Sword:

“A powerful foe has picked up [Demonic Sword Zariche / Blood Sword Akamanah]. Find him on the map and defeat him quickly for extraordinary rewards!”

GM is defeated and the Cursed Sword can be claimed by a new person:

“The foe has been slain! The [Demonic Sword Zariche / Blood Sword Akamanah] can now be yours to wield, if you find it first!”

Special Server Settings

During the event period, the following server settings are in place:

  • No XP Loss Upon Death: You can die without losing XP! This setting is made to encourage competition and PvP between players over who can deal the killing blow to the Cursed Sword and claim the best reward.
  • Free Teleports: Conventional Gatekeepers (not Primeval Isle guy; he’s a carebear) will not charge teleport fees! This is so that players can easily move around the work to hunt down the Cursed Sword.

Event Rewards

Rewards are giving in the following conditions:

  • Player lands a successful hit on a GM that is in a Cursed Sword Transformation.
  • Player lands the killing hit on a GM that is in a Cursed Sword Transformation.
  • Rewards are only given for hits and kills on Cursed Sword transformations that are controlled by GMs; there are no rewards for hits and kills on player-controlled Cursed Swords. As such, be careful to watch the server-wide announcements for indication as to which kind of Cursed Sword is online at that time. (See Announcements above.)
