The Stone of Destiny Returns

The Stone of Destiny returns to Lineage II in the L2 Store and L2 Galleria!

The Stone of Destiny allows a non-Awakened character (or non-Awakened Dual Class) to evolve into the Awakening class of their choice at level 85, instead of naturally evolving into only one destined class. For example, an Orc Titan would normally awaken as a Tyrr Warrior. With the Stone of Destiny, however, they can awaken as any of the eight Awakening classes—they could even be an Aeore Healer if they so wished!

There are various requirements and important details associated with the Stone of Destiny, as it involves a major change to your character. Please be sure read the full details and restrictions below before purchasing!

* Limited time offer available from September 19, 2012 to September 26, 2012.

Who Can Use It?

To be eligible to use the Stone of Destiny, a character must:

  • Be level 85.
  • Have completed the Seize Your Destiny quest and have the Scroll of Afterlife item in their inventory.
  • Not yet be Awakened. (If you plan to use the Stone of Destiny, do not go to Ye Sagira and choose an Awakening class yet.)

The Stone of Destiny can be used on a character’s main class or Dual Class as long as it meets all above requirements.

How It Works:

  1. Purchase the Stone of Destiny. You do not have to be eligible to use the Stone of Destiny in order to purchase it; it is a permanent quest item and it will not be removed from the game until it is consumed through Awakening.
    • If you purchase it from the in-game L2 Store, be sure to be on the character you plan to use it with before purchasing. The Stone of Destiny will be inserted directly into your quest inventory.
    • If you purchase it from the L2 Galleria, choose to send it to the server and character you plan to use it with. In-game have the character speak to the Dimensional Merchant to claim the item. The Stone of Destiny will appear in your quest inventory.
  2. Reach level 85 and complete the Seize Your Destiny quest, so that you have the Scroll of Afterlife item.
  3. With both the Stone of Destiny and the Scroll of Afterlife, travel to Ye Sagira.
    • If using the Stone of Destiny on a Dual Class, be on that Dual Class when you go to Ye Sagira.
  4. Choose what Awakening class you want to become and interact with the applicable statue.
  5. Read and click through the Awakening confirmation windows to Awaken as that class.
  6. Upon Awakening, the Scroll of Afterlife and the Stone of Destiny will be removed from your character. Note that the Stone of Destiny will be removed even if you Awaken as the class you would have evolved into naturally.
  7. Upon Awakening, all previous third class skills are replaced with the skills of a Human class that would have naturally evolved into the character’s chosen Awakening class. For example, if an Elven Elemental Master uses a Stone of Destiny to Awaken as an Elven Tyrr Warrior, the Elemental Master skills are replaced with Duelist skills. The Duelist skills are then traded in for the Tyrr Warrior skills. The character’s race status and race skills will remain intact.

Using Two Stones of Destiny

Perhaps you would like to Awaken both your main class and your Dual Class using a Stone of Destiny. If so, here are some helpful tips to remember when you plan your purchasing and usage of the Stone of Destiny:

  • You can technically have two Stones of Destiny in your inventory at the same time, but when you Awaken, any and all Stones of Destiny in your quest inventory will be consumed. Be careful to plan your Awakening and inventory contents accordingly so that you do not consume two Stones of Destiny when wanting to only use one.
  • If you purchase the Stone of Destiny from the L2 Galleria (web store) it will go to the Dimensional Merchant NPC and you can leave it there until your character is ready to use it.
  • If you purchase the Stone of Destiny from the L2 Store (in-game store) it will go straight to your quest inventory and cannot be removed, and will thus be consumed when you Awaken next, no matter which class you Awaken or Awaken to.
  • If you received a Stone of Destiny at the Goddess of Destruction launch in November 2011 and you still have it in your private warehouse, you can leave it there safely for as long as you need; it will not be removed or consumed if you Awaken with another Stone of Destiny in your quest inventory.
  • The Stone of Destiny will not be removed from the game until you consume it upon Awakening.
