Appearance Stones

Appearance Stones allow you to change the appearance of your armor, weapons, or hair accessories while still keeping the stats and boosts of the original item. You can use R-Grade appearance stones with items of any grade, including R95-Grade and R99-Grade. However, it is required that the appearance weapon be the same grade or lower as the target weapon. Currently, only R-Grade appearance stones are available.

Types of Appearance Stones

All appearance stones and the restoration stone are not tradable or droppable.

How to Use an Appearance Stone

Find an item of any grade that you like the appearance of and that is the same grade or lower, and same type of item you can use with your character’s class. Use an appearance stone to copy the appearance of the item onto your existing weapon, armor, or hair accessory.

You can only transfer the appearance of items that are the same item type. For example, a dual sword appearance can only be transferred onto another dual sword, and vice versa, and a heavy chest armor item can only take on the appearance of another heavy chest armor item.

  1. Choose a hair accessory or an R-grade weapon or armor item that you want to change the appearance of.
  2. Choose an item of the same item type that you like the appearance of.
  3. Obtain the appropriate appearance stone (weapon, armor, or hair accessory).
  4. With all the items in your inventory or equipped, double-click on the appearance stone.
  5. Drag the item whose appearance you want to change into the Target Weapon* window.
  6. Drag the item whose appearance you want to duplicate into the Appearance Weapon* window.

* The appearance change window refers to “weapons” even if you are using an armor stone or hair accessory stone. This is a translation error; please ignore it. The window title displays the correct item category.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Read the two confirmation prompts and be sure you are ready to commit to this change of appearance. Remember, unless you’re using a Blessed Appearance Stone, the item whose appearance you are duplicating will be destroyed in the process.
  3. Click OK to commit to the change.

Your target item’s appearance is now changed!

How to Recognize an Altered Item

A tradable item that has had its appearance changed may be traded in player shops or on the Auction House, so it’s good to know how to recognize an altered item when you see one.

After changing an item’s appearance, the item’s icon changes to have a green mark on the corner. This green mark indicates that it is under the effect of appearance change. The item description says what item it is as well as what item it has the appearance of.
