Battle Process

The entire instance is designed to be completable within roughly 20 minutes.

Upon entering the instance you are in an antechamber. Enter the main room and go straight up the ramp in front of you. At the top, interact with the Stone Statue of Jermann the Great Leader to receive Iss Enchanter buffs.

When ready, go down the ramp and start fighting the 3 groups of monsters on the first floor so that you can progress forwards. At the back of the room, go up a staircase and defeat 2 more groups of monsters.

In the next room there are monsters close to the door that you must defeat. Beyond them are 2 other groups of monsters that each has a named ringleader. You need to display dominance over either Kajin or Beryn. Do this by killing the boss and subordinates of one group, so that the boss of the other group becomes submissive and his subordinates disappear.

Go up the final ramp and enter third room. At the end of the room, kill the monster called Weakened Ruler Jermann.

When he is defeated, speak to tablet called the Holder of Mysterious Power, Ancient Kartia Records. Select “put hands on tablet.”

You’re now transformed into Jermann. Open your skill window to check your new transformation skills and assign them to your hotbar for easy access.

When you’re ready to fight in transformed state, speak to the Pledged monster NPC that has appeared in the room (Kajin or Beryn depending on who you made submissive in the previous room). This will initiate the next part of the battle process. Tell him you’ll show him your power.

After a brief cutscene 4 or 5 (depending on the instance level) NPCs that look like player characters appear and come forth to attack you.

This battle has 3 stages that each lasts 3 minutes.

Stage 1: Survive the attacks and damage your foes.

Stage 2: The battle continues, but now the strange powers of Ancient Kartia’s Labyrinth come to your aid. A smoky entity will appear and buff you if you stand near it.

Stage 3: Four crystals appear around the room. You must protect them by damaging and controlling your foes.

At the end of the battle the two submissive monsters arrive along with other monsters and kneel before you. Open the Chest of Offerings at center of room. Another brief cutscene occurs in which Zellaka arrives. You revert out of your transformation and into your normal player character state. As chaos erupts and monsters start fighting amongst each other you are teleported out of instance and your buffs disappear.
