A Lineage II Love Connection

Every day, people from around the world gather to play Lineage II together. Often times friendships are forged while spending hours hunting together, or defending a castle with clanmates and allies. Sometimes our players find something even more special in the lands of Aden and Elmore--love. AwesomE and HealingAngel on the Lionna server are one such couple who met in Lineage II, and were recently married out-of-game. We’d like to congratulate the happy couple, and thank them for chatting with us!

1. Congratulations on your marriage! How long have you both been playing Lineage II?

Since March 27/28 2004.

2. What are your character names and server? Which classes do you both play?

We play on Lionna as HealingAngel (Eva's Saint) and AwesomE (Duelist).

3. Can you tell us a little about how you two met in Lineage II, and how the game brought you together outside of the game?

We started out in 2 different clans and our first meeting in-game was at an Orfen raid. As HealingAngel left her clan to seek new challenges, she applied to mine (Exordium) and as we were short on healers, I took her right away. We played a lot in groups together, until one day she decided to take a break for almost 7 months. I didn't except her to ever come back. One day I was just running around in Giran and saw HealingAngel standing at the WH keeper, I pmed her and threw her invites until she finally accepted!

From that day on we [became] closer friends and played even more together. So after about 1.5 years playing together, we thought it would be fun to meet and hang out for a weekend. I drove over to Germany and we had a fun time, but we parted as good friends. A few months later she came with 2 other in-game friends to visit me for about a week and I started to take a bit of interest in her, but as I wasn't sure about her feelings I just invited her to come over anytime again. She accepted the invite weeks later and we spent Christmas together, it sparkled and we became a couple.

As she still studied in Germany, we could only meet during vacations and that was quite tough, but in the end it made us treasure the time we actually could spend together even more.

4. What are some of your favorite locations to visit together in Lineage II?

Anghel Waterfall, [and] the bunny-like clan hall messenger in hot springs.

5. What are some of your favorite pastimes in Lineage II?

The entertaining nights of endless xp grouping, our in game wedding in rune and of course the exciting raids... first Antharas, first Valakas.

6. What do you enjoy the most about Lineage II?

The graphics and our friends (we met a lot of them in real life during meetings we organize each year).

7. What is your favorite memory together in Lineage II?

First Valakas and all the nights when we couldn't stop laughing on Teamspeak.

8. Do you have any advice or comments you’d like to pass along to your fellow Lineage II players?

If you have the opportunity to meet each other in real life, do it! It has been so much fun for us making our in-game friends to in-real-life friends.
