Player Meet and Greet: PAX, Seattle
NCsoft gathered in full force to attend PAX 2007, which ran from August 24th-26th. The ginormous booth, which was situated right in the center of the exhibition hall, sported dozens of large high-def LCD televisions, all showing game trailers and the games themselves--Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villains, Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa, Dungeon Runners, and of course, Lineage II.
NCsoft fans that stopped by our booth at PAX had a chance to chat with members of every NCsoft production and community team, including Lineage II's own Producer Tim "Ornery" Tan, Head GM Charles "spam" Porter, and Community Manager "Alyra". Lineage II players who visited us at one of this year's summer conventions were awarded a very special item--a convention-exclusive circlet! There were only around 100 total of them given out, so kudos to those of you who got one!
The booth was jam-packed with enthusiastic NCsoft fans all three days of the show. Every last piece of swag was claimed, and fans proudly displayed their NCsoft pride by wearing their spoils around the exhibition hall. We handed out everything from t-shirts to posters to pins to Hero Clicks to capes. Capes? Yes, capes. City of Villains capes were the hot item to have, and by the end of the show, so many attendees were wearing them that it could have been mistaken for an all-out City of Villains takeover!
After the main exhibition hall closed on Saturday, the NCsoft crew gathered at The Elephant and Castle Pub & Restaurant in Seattle for an impromptu player meet-and-greet hosted by our very own Seridove and Loktofeit at Lineage II Vault. Free food, cold drinks, and plenty of great conversation and good times ensued. Seridove put together a great review of the meet-and-greet party, with plenty of pictures, which you can read here! Below is a photo of Seridove (on the left) and Alyra (on the right) at PAX.
We'd like to thank all of the enthusiastic and dedicated Lineage II fans who stopped by the booth. We really enjoyed meeting you and having the opportunity to talk with you! The next NCsoft Player Meet and Greet will be in NCsoft's hometown of Austin, Texas in September! We hope to see you there!
Thank you to the Seattle Meet and Greet attendees for chatting with us, and answering our questions!
