Player Meet and Greet: Orange County
Howie's Game Shack in Orange County was host to a swarm of players from Lineage II and other NCsoft games at the second NCsoft Player Meet and Greet on May 13, 2006.
Over 200 players met the people who work on NCsoft games, including members of the Lineage II community, production, and QA teams.
The Erica server showed up in force, representing the clans GIM, Cataclysm, and more. Some players had met members of their clan in person before, but also had the chance to meet other players on the server for the first time. Bartz, Lionna, and Devianne players also mingled with each other and NCsoft staff. Karlina, a Swordsinger of TheWhiteOrder on Lionna, said of the event, "I enjoy meeting with people I play with/against and the team that keeps this game running smoothly."
Players not only met with Lineage II staff, but spoke with Richard Garriott and the people behind other NCsoft games like the upcoming Tabula Rasa and Dungeon Runners. Kalis, a Tyrant on Devianne, appreciated the chance to check out other games. "Lineage II being my first MMORPG, and the only one I've really played at any length, this was a good chance to experience the other offerings from NCsoft."
Players and staff partied the night away until 2:00 AM, enjoying the games, chatting with each other, participating in raffles and contests, and downing energy drinks. HondaInsight, a Giran Castle Town resident on the Erica server, summed up the evening. "Great local event for the die-hard players and a very suitable environment. Howie's Game Shack was definitely worth seeing -- it's a massive haven for games and 'gaming geeks'. Plus, the NCsoft girls were cute and the energy drinks were free."
The next NCsoft Player Meet and Greet just might be in your area next time, and we hope to see you there!
Thank you to the Orange County Meet and Greet attendees for answering our questions, especially the players from Erica!
